What is included in your class?

Your class includes a fully guided, hands-on scone-making session, all ingredients and equipment, unlimited tea and coffee, tasting of freshly baked scones, and a printed keepsake recipe to take home. You’ll also have time to hear about interesting family connections and have conversations about Scottish culture and life

 

How long does the class last?

The experience lasts approximately 2–2.5 hours, allowing time to bake, enjoy your scones, and relax with stories, music, and conversation. If your chosing a private experience, there is possibility to chance the length of class.

 

Do I need any baking experience?

Not at all. The class is suitable for complete beginners as well as confident home bakers. You will be led through every step, with patience, and rest assured it’s very relaxed.

 

What type of scones will we make?

You’ll make traditional Scottish scones, with options of variations on the classic plain scone. There will be a variety of flavours available to add to your scones.

 

Is this class suitable for children?

To insure that the class is enjoyable for everyone we have a lower age limit of 12 years old.

Are dietary requirements catered for?

Because of the nature of the recipe, we are not able to cater for any dietary requirements. You are still more than welcome to participate in the class, however wheat & dairy will be present. We also have nuts in house.

 

How many people are in each class?

Classes are kept small and relaxed for a personal experience. Up to 8 people will be invited for a regular class. Private classes are available on request,

 

What should I bring with me?

Nothing at all—just yourself. Aprons, ingredients, and equipment are all provided.

 

Can I take my scones home?

Yes! You’re welcome to enjoy them during the class and take any leftovers home with you.

 

Is this a cultural experience as well as a baking class?

Absolutely. Alongside baking, you’ll hear about Gaelic culture, music, family history, and local traditions, making it a truly immersive Highland experience.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be made in advance. Please refer to our booking terms or contact us directly for details.

 

Where is the class held?

Full location details are provided after booking. The class takes place in my home, and I look forward to welcoming you.

 

Is this a good experience for visitors to Scotland?

Yes—this is a uniquely Scottish, hands-on food experience and a wonderful way to connect with local culture beyond the usual tourist attractions.

 

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for private classes and peak travel seasons, as availability is limited.

 

Can I take photos while I’m at your class? 

You can absolutely take photos to remember this experience. But if you prefer to stay in the moment, photos will be taken by the host and sent to you after your experience.

Cancellation Policy

This business is run solely by me alongside a busy schedule, and each class requires time, preparation, and planning in advance. While I completely understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, respecting scheduled time is essential to ensure the experience runs smoothly for everyone.

    •    Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled class.

    •    Late cancellations (within 24 hours of the class) are generally non-refundable. Each request will be considered on a                     case-by-case basis; however, refunds cannot be guaranteed once within this timeframe.

    •    No-shows will not be refunded under any circumstances.

    •   To be considered valid, all cancellations must receive a confirmation and acknowledgment from us. If you do not           receive this confirmation, the booking will remain active and you may be charged.

    •    Refunds, where applicable, will be issued to the original payment method or offered as a credit at our discretion.

    •    If you are feeling unwell or experience an emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. While exceptions cannot be             guaranteed, we will do our best to be fair and accommodating where possible.

    •    In the unlikely event that we need to cancel or reschedule a class, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered the           option of a refund or credit.

 

By booking a class, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.

Important Information

To ensure a comfortable and respectful experience for everyone, please review the following before your visit:

    •    Shoes are not permitted inside the home — socks or slippers are welcome. I provide shoe covers for those who can not           remove their shoes.

    •    Please arrive at the scheduled time; late arrivals may result in shortened sessions.

    •    Smoking, vaping, and pets are not allowed on the premises.

    •    We may take photos during the experience as a keepsake for you, which will be sent after your visit. Occasionally, photos           are used on social media or for marketing — just let us know if you’d rather yours not be shared.

    •    By booking, you agree to follow these guidelines.
